Svay Rieng University

Svay Rieng University (SRU) is a public university located along National Road No. 1, midway between Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. SRU was established in May 2005 and currently has five faculties offering eleven majors, including Accounting, Agriculture, Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Computer Science, English, Banking and Finance, Management, Marketing, Mathematics, Public Administration, and Rural Development. Two years later, SRU also launched another Faculty of Engineering, which offered majors in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering. SRU is officially accredited by the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia (ACC) for its foundation year programs.

SRU has cooperated with various universities, institutions, and organizations in Cambodia, as well as with many international universities and institutions worldwide. SRU is a member of Passage to ASEAN (P2A), which facilitates student exchange programs among Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Through the ASEAN–China Network for Cooperation and Exchanges among Engineering and Technology Universities, Svay Rieng University has established partnerships with several universities in China.

SRU is recognized by the World Bank as one of the leading universities in Cambodia, receiving financial support through its partnerships with Erasmus for projects such as: HUB4GROWTH (Enhancement of Partnerships between Public and Private Universities for Smart and Sustainable Development in Asia), UNICAM (Implementation of Quality Education and Training for Newly Established Rural Universities in Cambodia), HR4Asia (Strategic Human Resource Management for Universities in Southeast Asia), and SICA (Strengthening Quality Assurance in Cambodian Higher Education).
