The Cambodia–Vietnam Friendship Statue in Kampot Province is a concrete stupa that stands as a testament to the historic alliance, commemorating the past solidarity between Vietnam and Cambodia. It was built as a symbol of gratitude from the parties, governments, peoples, and armies of both countries—the Vietnamese volunteer forces and the Kampuchean United Front for National Salvation—who sacrificed their lives for the independence, freedom, and well-being of the people, and who helped overthrow the Khmer Rouge regime.

The Cambodia–Vietnam Statue is located near the Kampot Provincial Department of Education, Youth, and Sports. Its design features heroic statues of Vietnamese and Cambodian soldiers in the style of “Socialist Realism,” an art form created in the Soviet Union in the 1930s, accompanied by the figures of a woman and a child representing Cambodian civilians.
