The Cambodian Buddhist Cultural Center

 The Cambodian Buddhist Cultural Center

Nestled within 126 hectares of lush landscape in Preah Kosomak Kirirom National Park, Kampong Speu Province, the Cambodian Buddhist Cultural Center serves as both a haven of spirituality and a symbol of cultural heritage. Initiated in 2005, the project was founded to promote Buddhism, preserve Khmer traditions, and foster social values.

According to founder Venerable Nhek Buntha, the location was deliberately chosen for its natural tranquility, echoing the forests where the Buddha was born, achieved enlightenment, and entered parinirvana. “This environment is ideal for meditation and reflection. Yet the center is more than a place of worship—it is a national legacy that will enrich culture, education, and, importantly, tourism,” she noted.

Blending timeless Khmer architecture with serene surroundings, the Cambodian Buddhist Cultural Center aspires to be more than a religious site. It is envisioned as a lasting treasure for Cambodia—uniting faith, culture, and tourism for generations to come.
