The December 2nd Memorial Monument was built to commemorate the founding of the “Kampuchean United Front for National Salvation.”
It is located in Cheung Khlu Village, Pir Thnu Commune, Snuol District, Kratie Province. The monument was constructed to honor the creation of the “Kampuchean United Front for National Salvation,” led by Samdech Heng Samrin.
The construction cost was approximately $ 3.8 million, and the monument was officially inaugurated on Monday, December 2, 2013, during the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the movement's founding (December 2, 1978 – December 2, 2013).
